Advanced Cardiac Training Frequently Asked Questions

Where is your training facility located?

You’ll find our office at 1500 Beach Blvd., Suite 224, in Jacksonville Beach. We are 1/2-mile east of the Beach Boulevard Bridge, on the second floor above the Engine 15 restaurant. If you’re lost just call 904-247-4CPR and we’ll guide you.

How can I contact you if I have questions about your classes?

You can call us anytime at 904-247-4CPR, or shoot us an email at contact@advancedcardiactraining.com. Many questions can be answered here on our website.

Are your classes official American Heart Association® courses?

Yes, Advanced Cardiac Training provides American Heart Association® training in CPR, First Aid and Emergency Cardiac Care. We have classes for all levels — from doctors, nurses and other heathcare professionals to workplace professionals and families.

Can you hold a class at my place of business?

Yes. Our experienced staff will bring any of our classes (equipment and all) to your facility. Skill checks for online courses can also be performed at your facility. Please call or email us at contact@advancedcardiactraining.com for more information.

What type of CPR training is right for me?

BLS for Healthcare Providers is the class required for most doctors, physician assistants, nurses, nursing assistants, medical assistants, dentists, dental hygienists, fire fighters, emergency medical technicians and respiratory therapists (as well as students in medical-related professions). Heartsaver® classes are designed for people who need CPR training outside the health care setting. These include teachers, trainers, plumbers, electricians and child care professionals. Family and Friends classes are for moms, dads, foster parents, people getting ready to adopt, babysitters, nannies, boy scouts, girl scouts and others.

Who teaches your CPR, ACLS and PALS classes?

All of our instructors are American Heart Association® qualified with years of emergency medical experience. Most of our instructors are also firefighters and paramedics who perform CPR and take care of emergency cardiac patients on a regular basis.

Will I get hands-on experience during the class?

Yes. Every student will have the opportunity to practice CPR on a realistic manikin in a stress-free environment. We will help you perform CPR and treat cardiac patients the right way and make sure you leave feeling comfortable that you can perform in an emergency. We are not drill instructors.

Do I need to buy a book prior to class?

Most classes require students to have a Student Manual prior to class. If you cannot get one from your place of work, you can purchase a book on our website when registering for class.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Classes can be rescheduled at any time at no charge. Cancellations made within the 48 hours prior to a scheduled class will be assessed a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the course registration fee. There are no refunds for students who are absent, late (by more than 15 minutes), or otherwise fail to complete a scheduled class (following AHA®-approved remediation, if applicable). In keeping with AHA® guidelines, students who arrive more than 15 minutes late will not be admitted to class. Late students may reschedule their class at no charge. Sales of all online Heartcode® and Heartsaver® classes are final and not subject to refund. Online classes become the property of the purchaser. Please email any questions to contact@advancedcardiactraining.com.
